Old Clinton District reenacts Civil War battle
People from all over Central Georgia took a step back in time to 1864. During these times in this region it was also considered the War Days. Some re-enactors from the Southeast put on a show for the people as they re-created the Battle of Sunshine. Hearts were left thumping from the rattle of the muskets and the pounding of the canons. From soldiers to ladies of the confederacy, people were decked out in apparel of the times to give the people a more "real" experience. Crafts of the era were demonstrated along with a play by the play as the battle was being re-enacted. The actors will gather again tomorrow as the re-create the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Griswoldville.
