CGTC to Hold Open House, Ribbon Cutting at Adult Ed Center | Business
Central Georgia Technical College holds an open house and ribbon cutting at the new Adult Education Center in Jones County Thursday.
According to a release, that ribbon cutting and open house is at 2 p.m. at 304 Old Clinton Road.

On Thursday, September 12, Central Georgia Technical College will hold an open house and ribbon cutting at its new Jones County Adult Education Center located at 304 Old Clinton Road in Gray at 2 p.m. The new center is located in the Older American Council building. President of the College, Dr. Ivan Allen and local officials will be on hand.
The center will be staffed with two full time instructors, a teaching assistant and volunteers.
Classes started in the new location Monday, September 9. Adult basic education and adult secondary education, otherwise known as GED prep classes will be offered. English as a Second Language classes will be offered in the future.
GED testing will also be provided. The current version of the GED test is expiring at the end of 2013 and test scores will expire if all five sections of the test have not been passed by then. Those needing to take the test should finish the test before the end of the year. If not completed, the test will have to be taken again, even the parts already passed.
