Robins Federal Credit Union Gives Over $51K to the American Cancer Society

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently held fundraisers in branches across the mid-state in order to raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Robins Federal Credit Union branches in Baldwin, Bibb, Houston, Jones, Monroe and Peach Counties created teams, raised funds and participated in their county’s Relay for Life events. Over 100 employees participated in the events in their respective counties, and $51,319.02 was raised for the American Cancer Society.

“We are proud to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Our staff really enjoys the three month fundraising drive each year. It allows them to work together, and have fun while doing something great in our community.  We value our partnership with the American Cancer Society, and could not be more pleased with the result of this year’s fundraising drives” says John Rhea, President/CEO.

Community Shreds and Recycles Over 11 Tons of Sensitive Documents

Warner Robins, GA — Central Georgia residents recently shred 22,500 pounds, or 11.25 tons, of documents containing sensitive material at Robins Federal Credit Union’s popular Shred Day events.

Three Shred Day events were held last week at Robins Federal Credit Union’s Watson Boulevard branch in Warner Robins, West Clinton Street branch in Gray, and Zebulon Road branch in Macon.

Shred Day is a semiannual event with a dual purpose - to protect the Middle Georgia community from identity theft and to protect the environment. Members of the community are invited to shred personal information, including financial records, receipts and prescriptions. All shredded documents are then recycled.

Robins Federal Credit Union Receives Diamond Award for Outstanding Marketing Achievements

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union was recently honored with a Diamond Award, which recognizes outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.

The awards were presented by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing and Business Development Council, a national network comprised of nearly 1,000 credit union marketing and business development professionals. Awards are given in each of 33 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.

Robins Federal Credit Union won the Radio Series category for the MyMoney MyWay youth account radio spots that aired during 2012. Robins Federal Credit Union was chosen as the “Category’s Best” in this category.
