New Addition to Daylily Festival

There's a new addition to the Daylily Festival this year!

A mobile video game trailer will join the festivities.

The trailer is climate-controlled and can hold up to 24 guests at once.

Fishing Rodeo for Kids

Fishing Rodeo for Kids

 

Georgia Cancer Support is hosting a fishing rodeo for kids with cancer and their families in Jones County.

That's on May 25 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Professional fishermen will be there to teach kids how to fish. That's at 141 Salem Church Road.

The event is free.

Last year they had over 100 cancer patients there.

Girl Scout Alumnae Reunion in Central Georgia

The Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia will hold a reunion on May 4 from 1-6 pm at Camp Martha Johnson in Lizella.  Alumnae will enjoy revisiting camp, renewing friendships, and helping to create a digital archive, according to a news release. 

The event is free. Donations for camp upkeep will be accepted.
