Harveys will unveil its new store in Gray on Wednesday, March 30, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and giveaways to its customers.

“We are dedicated to being Gray’s hometown grocer providing excellent value on a wide variety of quality products combined with exceptional customer care,” said Barry Robinson, Vice-President of Harveys and Reid’s stores.

Harveys will create 68 new jobs with the opening of the store, a Harveys news release says.

The small-town grocer offers a wide selection of groceries including an expanded fresh produce department and a full-service deli/bakery with special-order in-store decorated cakes, specialty meats, cheeses and breads, and ready-to-eat lunch and dinner buffet including home-style, freshly cooked meals.

Todd Lowe will be the manager of the approximately 31,500 square-foot facility.

He has been with Harveys for almost two years. The store also offers greeting cards, a floral section, Western Union service, Rug Doctor rentals, Blue Rhino propane tank exchange, postage stamps, “KeyOsk,” ATM, and Coinstar machine. Harveys will begin typical operating hours of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 31.

Harveys in Gray is at 208 W. Clinton Street in Gray.

Harveys is an affiliate of Delhaize America, a subsidiary of Brussels-based Delhaize Group (DEG) (NYSE:DEG). Harveys operates 71 stores in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina.
