Better Hometown Looks to Develop City Park

Gray Station Better Hometown and PLAN (People Looking Ahead Now) Cultural Arts & Leisure Committee are taking steps to develop a city park in Gray.

The organizations would like to transform the old track and football field on Turnerwoods Road into a passive park for the entire community to enjoy, a Gray STation Better Hometown news release says.

A conceptual drawing was prepared by the Department of Community Affairs to give citizens an opportunity to see the possibilities of the green space.

The Park will include: walking trails, recreation areas, a handicap-accessible playground, an area for pets to play, a pavilion area for cookouts, birthday parties and other celebrations.

To show support of the proposed Turnerwoods Park, write a letter, send an email, or call to express your support by March 15.
