Fire Burns Home in Jones County | News

A Jones County man says no one was home when his burned down early Monday.

Homeowner Rudy Gray says his home at 3021 Joycliff Road burned down while he was at work.

Jones County Fire Chief Don Graham says they received a call about a house fire shortly after midnight on Monday. He says they found the living room area on the backside of the house on fire. 

Graham says around 4:23 a.m. the fire rekindled in the roof of the house, and fire crews had to return to the scene.

Graham says the cause of the fire has not been determined and fire crews continue to investigate the case.
