Macon Police Make Arrest in 2011 Murder
Macon police arrested a man they say is responsible for the 2011 murder of Alfred Smith, 35, at Wings Cafe. Akobeyan Denzel Howard, 19, was arrested during a traffic stop in Jones County Wednesday morning.
According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, Smith was shot several times in the parking lot of the Macon restaurant in July, 2011. He was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where he was pronounced dead.
Howard is charged with one count of Felony Murder. Police say this is his second arrest since July, 2012.
