Big Henry Classic Helps Children

Big Henry Leslie loved life almost much as he loved helping others.

Leslie passed away last September, but he left his mark on the hundreds of people he helped during his lifetime.

Tuesday, more than one hundred golfers participated in the first annual Big Henry Golf Classic at Healy Point Country Club.

The event raised ten thousand dollars for the Methodist Home For Children and Youth.

"He was a gentleman that when he had a friend in need he went around and got everyone else and let them that he had a need," said Big Henry Fund, Inc. treasurer Randy White.  "And he made sure that need was taken care of as best as we could."

The Big Henry Fund, Inc. will operate year-round raising money for individuals and organizations in the community.
