Funeral services for Mr. Charles Ronald Cook, 78, of Macon who died Friday, October 12, 2012 at his residence will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Waldren officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cochran

Mr. Cook was born in Columbus, the son of the late Charles W. Cook and Barbara Beatrice Martin Cook. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a former teacher at Columbus Middle School where he was a coach and a principal and a teacher at South Georgia College. He was retired from the Department of Corrections as a counselor.

He was of the Baptist faith and an avid Bulldog fan. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Blue Cook.

Survivors include his wife, Fleta Smith Cook of Macon; daughter, Melody Cook of Macon; son, William Ronald Cook of Macon; brother, John Cook of Newnan; grandchildren, William Connor Cook and Keleigh Cook, both of Macon and Lindsey Cook and Cole Tyson, both of Gray.

The family will meet friends at the funeral home following the service.

Fisher Funeral Home of Cochran has charge of arrangements.
