Welcoming 2013: Making the Most of the New Year

Welcoming 2013: Making the Most of the New Year

Today is my first day in the office for 2013. I intentionally took time off over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays to step back from work, enjoy my family and clear my head. Now I’m back and ready to hit the ground running! How about you?

In the past I’ve never been much of a believer in writing down my goals or making them for that matter. It all seemed a little woo-woo and out there. However in 2012 I worked with a wonderful organizer and business coach Paris Love (www.parisloveinstitute.com) who convinced me of the importance of setting goals.

These Boots Were Made For Walking

These Boots Were Made For Walking

OK, I know it’s not exactly boot weather right now (Hello, flip flops!!!), but it is the perfect time of year to make sure your boots will be ready for walking in the fall.

Tall boots have a habit of falling over and if you don’t wear them often you run the risk of getting creases.  You can buy specially made boot shapers that range in price from $5 to $15.  Yikes! If you are boot lover, that can get pricey!

Musician Joey Stuckey & Author Cliff Chandler in Downtown Gray for 2nd Saturday

GRAY, GA.--Come to 2nd Saturday in Downtown Gray on April 14th for great music, a fantastic author signing, excellent food, gifts and books.

Heather Busby, Gray Station Better Hometown manager, had advised a huge bouncy slide will be here in Downtown Gray for 2nd Saturday - also hope to have the street train running around - other vendor booths should be set up on the street in front of the bookstore.

Joey and Cliff will be set up outside the bookstore under a beautiful UGA tent! There'll be plenty of room for everyone - sunshine and blue skies, low 80s - a perfect day to enjoy some great music and a great author!
