The 12th Annual Fried Green Tomatoes Festival returns to Juliette October 22-23.

The whole Festival takes place on McCrackin St. from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily, Pat Cook from the Juliette Council says.

When you head out to the festival, you'll find about 25 vendors, two restaurants, nine shops, a winery, arts & crafts and more.

Three in One Literature

Three in One Literature

Jayne Castle, Amanda Quick and Jayne Ann Krentz, what do these ladies have in common?  They are authors of romance novels, yes, but what else?  They are the same person.  Jayne Ann Krentz is the real person and under this name she writes contemporary romance.  Under the name Amanda Quick she writes historical romance and under the Castle name she writes futuristic/paranormal romance.

Quick, Krentz and Castle are (in that order) some of my favorite rereads as well.  I never get tired of her characters, no matter what era they live.  Some of the earlier titles, though they have similar concepts with familiar families, are all stand alone novels.  In recent years Krentz has begun grouping together trilogies, one from each pen name.  It is great fun to follow a family and its ancestors from Victorian England, to contemporary America to futuristic Harmony.
