Online Survey Helps GDOT Connect Central Georgia

Georgia Department of Transportation is conducting an online survey to determine Central Georgia's transportation needs.

The purpose of the study: 

 this study will be the first holistic look at traffic and goods movement across this portion of the state and will build off of the accomplishments and lessons learned from previous transportation studies. The study includes thorough analysis of operational and capacity needs to improve safety, freight movements, person mobility, and connectivity across Central Georgia through the year 2035.

How to Become a Gray Firefighter Next Meeting

The City of Gray Fire Department's next training meeting will be on Monday, December 19th at 7 p.m.

That's according to the City of Gray Fire Department's Facebook page.

Also, there will be a Firefighter 1 Class beginning on Tuesday, January 2nd.

Tonight: Annual Lighted Gray Christmas Parade

GRAY, GA.-- The Annual Lighted Christmas Parade brings the holiday cheer through Gray December 6 at 7 p.m. 

The parade starts at Ingle's Market, travels North on W. Clinton, turns right on Railroad St. and ends at Gordon ST. 

This year's "Festival of Trees" parade will welcome Santa, as well as support the Gray Jaycees as the organization celebrates its 20th anniversary in Gray.

Georgia Jaycee President and U.S. Jaycee President will ride in the luminary lights display.

Cruise-In With Toy Donations

Jones County Cruisers host a toy drive at their car, truck and motoryclce cruise-in Saturday, Dec. 10.

The toy drive is for kids in Jones County.

The event takes place from 11-4 on Saturday at Agave Azul Mexican Restaurant.

The registration fee is a new, unwrapped toy.

At the cruise-in, you'll find face painting for kids, door prizes and games for kids, and the cherry on top: Santa will be there!

Aeromasters hosted a Toys for Tots Fly-In Saturday in Jones County. Celebrated radio-controlled airplanes, bi-planes, turbine jets and more flew at Commissioner's Field.
